Money, Money, Money!
Mood:  celebratory
Topic: School Life
Yesterday, I had an appointment to meet with the mother of one of the grade 9 boys, named Shannon (The boy, not the mother!) She was super rich, very well-dressed, etc. Anyway, long story short, I am now working for her, tutoring Shannon. The great news is: this is a two night a week job, for 2 hours a night. The pay is $40CND an hour, times four hours a week. And, the families private driver will take me there. All I have to do is talk to Shannon, and help him with any English homework he has. So, I now feel made of money (I also have my Saturday Class and another tutee on Saturday which also pay $40/hour.) I'm glad I found out where the easy money jobs were! And I'm the only Canadian teacher at my school to be approached by a parent for tutoring (2 carole, everyone else zero!) It means less time to sit on the couch and watch movies, but I won't miss it.

A New Month... A New Computer.... A New Blog!
Mood:  bright
Well, it's the first day of October, and we finally have a computer in our office with internet. Imagine that. So I've decided to start a blog. THis seems to be a risky and somewhat self-serving decision. You see, starting a blog means I will actually have to keep up the blog, and if I don't I'll have a repeat of Oxford, where I started off with all these promises and ended up with nothing. And as for self-serving, well, it seems that this will be little more than my personal journal to spill all about my day. It seems very prideful to think that I should post this for others to read. However, I am going through with my blog anyway, take it as it comes and read only if you find it interesting.
